Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your relationship with Fox Music Records (formerly Fox Ents), a UK-based independent record label ('the Label', 'we', 'us', 'our'). By submitting music, entering into a distribution agreement, or otherwise engaging with Fox Music Records, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Distribution Agreement

When Fox Music Records agrees to distribute your music, a separate Distribution Agreement will be issued and must be signed by both parties before any release is processed. The Distribution Agreement will specify the territories covered, the duration of the agreement, the revenue share arrangement, and any exclusivity terms. No release will be distributed without a fully executed agreement in place.

3. ISRC Codes

Fox Music Records provides International Standard Recording Codes (ISRC) to all signed artists as part of the distribution service. ISRC codes are unique identifiers assigned to each individual recording and are used to track plays, streams, and sales for royalty purposes. ISRC codes issued by Fox Music Records remain registered under the Label's ISRC registrant code. Artists retain full ownership of their master recordings unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Royalties & Revenue Share

Revenue generated from streams, downloads, sync licensing, and other exploitation of distributed recordings will be split between the artist and Fox Music Records as set out in the individual Distribution Agreement. Fox Music Records will account to artists on a bi-annual basis — statements are issued twice per year, covering the periods January–June and July–December. Statements will be delivered within 60 days of the end of each accounting period. Payments will be made within 30 days of the statement date, subject to a minimum payment threshold as specified in the Distribution Agreement.

5. Bi-Annual Royalty Statements

Artists signed to Fox Music Records will receive detailed royalty statements twice per year. Each statement will include a breakdown of streams and downloads by platform and territory, gross revenue received, the Label's commission or fee, and the net amount due to the artist. Artists have 90 days from the date of a statement to raise any queries or disputes. Undisputed balances will be paid as set out in Section 4.

6. Ownership & Rights

Artists retain full ownership of their master recordings and underlying compositions unless a separate agreement expressly transfers those rights. By entering into a Distribution Agreement with Fox Music Records, artists grant the Label a non-exclusive (or exclusive, as agreed) licence to distribute, promote, and exploit the recordings in the agreed territories for the duration of the agreement. Upon termination of the agreement, all licences granted to the Label cease and recordings will be removed from distribution within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Artist Submissions

Submitting music to Fox Music Records via our website or any other channel does not create a contractual relationship, guarantee a response, or constitute an offer of representation. All submissions are reviewed at the Label's sole discretion. Fox Music Records will not return submitted materials and accepts no liability for unsolicited submissions. Submission of music constitutes the artist's confirmation that they own or control all necessary rights in the submitted recordings.

8. Radio Servicing & PR

Where Fox Music Records provides radio servicing and PR services, the scope and terms of those services will be set out in the relevant agreement. The Label makes no guarantee of specific radio plays, chart positions, press coverage, or playlist placements. All promotional activity is conducted on a best-efforts basis.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate a Distribution Agreement in accordance with the termination provisions set out in that agreement. Upon termination, the Label will cease all distribution and promotional activity within the timeframe specified in the agreement. Outstanding royalties accrued up to the date of termination will be paid in the next scheduled statement cycle.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions and any agreements entered into with Fox Music Records are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

Fox Music Records reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be published on this page. Continued engagement with the Label following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
